Due to expansion of our service an opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 pharmacy assistant to join our clinically orientated, innovative pharmacy team who provide the pharmacy services for HMPs High Down, Coldingley, Send and Downview. The assistant will be based in the dispensary at HMP High Down and will assist in delivering a legal, safe and high quality specialist prison pharmaceutical service which reflects national and local policies and priorities. You will work as a valued member of the team and be trained on the job, although previous experience of pharmacy would be an advantage. Later on, you may be required to travel to the satellite prisons to assist in the provision of medicine management services.
You will work with the pharmacy team to provide a top quality pharmacy service to the prisoners in the Surrey prisons equivalent to that available in the community.

You will have the opportunity to meet our staff members, find out more about working in a prison environment and undertake interview and assessment on the day.
Please bring two photographic Identity Documents and one current proof of address on the day OR one photographic Identity Document and two proofs of address on the day. Please also bring evidence of your National Insurance number and a recent DBS certificate if you are able to provide this.
You will have a real passion for delivering high quality clinical care. You will be self-motivated, flexible and work well within a team but be able to work autonomously. You do not need to have prison experience as we will provide you with a full induction and training.
