Graduate Nurse Recruitment Open Day

At our events you will have the chance to find out more about the Trust, our core values and standards, and how we strive to deliver our ambition to be a great employer. We will also have colleagues present to showcase key aspects of our services and share some of the amazing work that is going on in Mid Yorkshire to ensure our patients receive excellent care every time.

There will be information available about our vast range of staff benefits, and an opportunity to talk to colleagues who work in the Trust about their experiences and why they choose to work here. You will be able to ask questions of some of our new nurses, who qualified this year, as they share their experiences with you.

Representatives from your professional union will be present to provide helpful information about how they can support you and further benefits available to you to support you both at work and outside.

We have invested significantly in improving the experiences of our nursing workforce through our dedicated professional development and education team, who are leading the way nationally with their programme for supporting newly qualified nurses to make the transition from student to independent registrant. Our team has recently been shortlisted for three national awards by the Nursing Times in recognition of the work they do to improve the experience of all our nurses at work, and have been acknowledged as providing a best practice model of support at work.

You will have the chance to meet members of our senior nursing team from all our clinical divisions, to have a discussion about your own ambitions and to address any questions you may have about your future career. This is an open recruitment day and by attending this we will be offering you employment with the Trust and confirming where your first registered nurse post will be that same day.
